The Butterfly House

This morning son, Rob, and I took five kids to the Butterfly House. Fun…fun…fun! On the walk from the entrance to the butterfly house we saw these ducks in the stream.

Bella was on crutches because she had foot surgery. We pushed her in a wheel chair from the Dow Gardens Entrance to the Butterfly House. It’s a long, beautiful

walk through the Dow Gardens. When we arrived we left the wheel chair outside and she used her crutches inside. She went outside after a while, it wasn’t as easy as she thought it would be.

It’s very humid inside but it has to be. We hung our jackets in a room. My glasses actually steamed up! It gets very crowded because everyone wants to see the

butterflies.

All the kids got to hold a butterfly, some several different ones.

Even I got into the act! Okay…so he just happened to land on my back! At least he stayed long enough to let us get a picture! He showed up great on my red shirt!

This is my friend, Linda! It was nice to see someone I knew.

 

 

 

 

 

There were frogs in a pond. A couple frogs even let me take their picture!

 

 

 

 

 

There was even a large caged area for birds!

 

 

It was finally time to go home.
