Our oldest daughter, Pam, and son-in-law, Gene are here from Chicago. First thing this morning they took us to Lanny’s for breakfast!
Then we went to the mall. These men were playing bag pipes and drums. They were very good.
This afternoon the guys stacked wood on the porch for us and cut some trees.
Uncle Gene and Armon started the work by stacking wood on the porch.
Then it went from there. Rob joined the guys cutting trees and Jerry joined them loading brush in the truck for the brush pile.
The tree Gene was cutting down got hung up in a tree so when it finally came down Rob had to run!
The wishing well couldn’t run and it got hit on the side. Gene is inspecting the damage. It wasn’t tooooo bad.
Logs were cut and brush was picked up and loaded in the truck for the
brush pile. It was a big job for all the guys, old, medium and young!
Uncle Gene and Armon are splitting a log together! Later Uncle Gene and Armon prepared our supper! Barbecued ribs, baked potatoes, veggies, pie!
Thanks Guys!!!
Sounds like it was a better day to be a woman!! LOL! Male bonding at its finest. Glad nobody got hurt when that tree came down.

Thanks Iris. I’m so glad no one was hurt too. I haven’t had time to look at my wishing well. The bucket was swinging back and forth, back and forth, harder then it’s ever swung before!

Wow what a grand time with family again at your house. They sure are good workers. Looks like you are all set for the winter months, for firewood. You are well taken care of. If we ever make it to Midland, we want to go to Lanny’s. 🙂
