Today I’ve been baking and decorating a birthday cake for Elmise! She wanted a pink heart shaped cake with half white and half chocolate.
She helped me. First we baked two cakes, one white and one chocolate. For the chocolate cake we used a can of pumpkin instead of the eggs, oil and water. I made a pattern for a heart and after they were cool I cut one half of the heart from the white cake and one half from the chocolate cake. and put them together. 
In the picture of the two of us she’s holding the candles that will be put in later. A 1 and a 0! I can’t believe she’s 10 years old! I love making memories with my grandchildren. Later there will be a pizza party and ice skating!
