Half Way…

I began my travel log when I was just lying on the sofa day after day, having been stricken with ‘what’s on the roof’, Shingles! To keep from becoming bored to death I decided to work on my lap top computer and do a running series of my traveling days. Ah, it saved my sanity from going out the window.

I’m well now, mostly. But I’m only half way through my travel log. I’m not one to give up on a project so I’ll keep going. Here are the countries I’ve covered so far: The Netherlands, Belgium, Malaysia, Paraguay, Jordan, Israel and Egypt. The countries still to be written about are Haiti, Thailand, Mexico, Canada, Brazil, Japan and the USA. Will I make it? Well, I’ll try.

An interesting phenomenon is that I have many folks who ‘like’ my blogs but they are all folks that I don’t know personally! I have many new blogging friends! But none of my personal friends ‘like’ my blogs! Maybe I’ve bored my personal friends to death. I don’t know. Writing about my trips kept me from being bored to death! I’ve tried to write them in an interesting way. So, I’ll keep writing until I come to the end.

Yes, keep writing!!! I love hearing about your travels. It makes me want to do some traveling. We have not traveled outside US but think it would be wonderful to go to a foreign mission field. I’ve always wanted to go to Ireland or maybe Sweden. I have to admit that I have been behind in my blogging. I’ve been distracted by Facebook, Pinterest and learning our new i-phones. But must go back to it. I started out long time ago, to post about all the churches we have served. I only did the first 2. And then there is Christmases. Anyway, it seems blogging goes slower, and you write more there. But want to get back to it for sure. It would be fun to do the alphabet, with happenings. I think you need a theme, or you can have a subject, like recipes, flowers and gardening. When you have pictures involved, it takes long to put them on. Good luck in all of your
projects. Don’t stop your blog. You are so inspiring.

    • Thanks Sue. Comments do help and are nice. Blogging does take time. At least five of the countries we’ve been to have been on mission trips: Haiti, Mexico, Paraguay, Thailand and Canada (Native Americans). Since this is a travel log I’ve dwelt more on the countries then on why we were there.

I absolutely love everyone of your blogs …you are an amazing story teller/writer/blogger. I hope to do more and comment more when I retire…right now I feel fortunate if I am able to check Facebook because of the busyness of my life! I do love to read it…….. so keep it coming!!!

    • Thanks for your comment, Kathy. I really wasn’t asking for comments but it’s sure nice to get them. I has occurred to me that maybe you and others don’t know where the ‘like’ button is. It’s an easy way for busy people, like yourself, to let the writer know you read the blog and liked it. You have to click on reply then it’s just above the comments. Like, just click on it. That’s it. Easy.

You also need to have a login and password to “like” a post. I don’t have those so I will just have to tell you I like your posts. Keep it up.

Anita you are doing well at your travel log. It is interesting, but I don’t write a response to each one. When you don’t hear from people, it doesn’t mean they don’t like it, but perhaps are super busy. You do a great job with your blog. Keep on with it. I’m glad you could get it done, you’ll be thankful for that in days to come. Sending hugs for the long term.
