A Renewal Wedding

Elmise adding sand to the container.

Pastor Dave, Rob & Jessica renewing their vows.

Today we went to the beach! Lake Huron beach.  Rob and Jessica renewed their marriage vows today after 15 years of marriage. It was beautiful! Pastor Dave was wonderful, as usual! The sun was so bright I didn’t know what my pictures were going to look like. I’ll post a couple on here. Near the end the kids all joined them, each one was handed a bag of sand, white, tan or blue. Each one poured the sand from his/her bag into a container, which they will keep as a reminder of their commitment today as a blended family. It truly was a beautiful ceremony and day. There were about 35 family and friends who came to witness.  I’m a proud mom and grandma but I give God all the credit for what He has done. (I’ve got the pictures wrong again. I’m too old to learn.)

Tyler praying for mom and dad and the whole family.

How special. We renewed our vows our 25th yr. and it was special to us. Dale and Betty Woods were invited and re-did the ceremony. Our girls gave special comments and I remember tearing up. We pray that they will have many more years together as they raise their children. What a special couple they are.

Thanks Sue. It was a very special day. Tyler is Jessica’s son. He was about three when Rob & Jessica got married fifteen years ago. He’s going off to college in a few weeks.
