Happy Birthday, Jerry! You were so funny in the night! A couple of minutes after midnight, you got up to use the bathroom and noticed the time. The next thing I hear is you singing, “Happy Birthday to me! Happy Birthday to me!” The first thing this morning we went out for breakfast to our favorite restaurant, Lanny’s. Then we drove through our church parking lot so I could count the snowmen! Seventeen! I wanted to know so I could write about them in Prime Time News! You’re so patient with me!!! Thank you!!! For your birthday dinner I cooked fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, biscuits, fruit salad and apple pie! All your favorites…you deserve it! Rob and Jessica, Haleigh and Elmise were here for dinner. Jessica got off work early so she could be here! Armon was here in time for dessert! Elmise made the green bean casserole for me! She was a big help and loved doing it for you on your birthday! The kids had each made beautiful, meaningful cards, too, and gave to you!
You and the rest of us also enjoyed the company of our good Chinese friends, Kevin and Lily!
You also got a beautiful card made by granddaughter, Sydney, in the mail! All our children called you by phone to wish you a happy birthday! We Skype with son, Tim, up in Canada.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Jerry! He’s a good, faithful Christian man, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, friend and neighbor. Thank You for giving him to me. Thank You for the good health he’s enjoying right now. Please watch over him, keep him well and safe. I love Jerry so much and You love him even more!
