Yes, Jerry and I went on a trip to Hawaii with our daughter, Pam and son-in-law, Gene! What a trip it was! Our cousin, Kay, from Iowa, went with us on the cruise. What a great time we all had! Pam, Gene, Jerry and I stayed in a condo at Honolulu, O’ahu for the first four days. Then Kay joined us as we boarded a Norwegian Cruise Liner, Pride of America and cruised the islands for seven days!
We did a lot during those first four days in Honolulu. Oh…Waikiki Beach, I love you! Our condo was about three blocks from the beach. We were on the 35th floor and had a fantastic view of the ocean, the city and Diamond Head! At night the starry sky was stunning! We watched the sun rise every morning and the sun set every evening. We were slowly adjusting to the time change!
This was the view out our bedroom window!
Sunrise from our balcony!
Pam and Jerry sitting on our balcony with coffee and reading about possibilities while we’re in Honolulu!
Waikiki Beach was perfect! We loved it!
The day after we arrived we went to a luau! Oh, what fun! I’ll write about the luau in a separate post.
We were at Pearl Harbor one whole day. This too, is in a separate post.
Our last full day in our condo we went shopping and to the beach.
Guess what we, I mean Jerry, saw…a 1961 MG A! Jerry has a ’69 MG B. This one is a beauty!
Actually we went to the beach everyday! How could we not??? Waikiki Beach I love you! That’s Gene behind me!
From the balcony of our condo we could hear animal sounds…monkey’s chattering, lions roaring, elephants bellowing… There was a zoo near by! We could actually see elephants from our balcony! Can you see him?
Our last evening, in our condo, we ate supper at Tiki’s, across the street from Waikiki Beach.
We watched the sun set through the palm trees!
Our last morning in our wonderful condo. We watched a beautiful sunrise.
Gene bought a fresh pineapple for us to enjoy as we packed up to leave and board the Pride of America cruise ship!
We had time to go to Waikiki Beach one more time!
These were four days we’ll never, ever forget! Wonderful Honolulu and Waikiki Beach.
