The Old Go-cart

Jerry came home from work one day, in the early 70’s, with a surprise for our kids. He bought a used go-cart for about $50.00. It was the best investment he made in a long time! We still have that old go-cart and now our grand-kids are having as much fun as our kids way back then.

This is Teddy when the go-cart was new to us! The kids were all so excited!

My dad! Glen Williamson. He always loved to have fun!

Both places we lived at, with the go-cart, had very long driveways. You have to have a long driveway with a go-cart!

We’ve skipped a few years now.               Here is son-in-law, Gene!

Jerry had to go for a spin too!

Matthew, after we moved to our present home. He’s crossing our pedestrian bridge. His helmet slipped back so it’s rather uncomfortable but…who cares?!

Matthew, 2013! Our family get together! Of course the old go-cart was repaired and was ridden by anyone who wanted to… Matthew wanted to…

Going back again a few years…okay quite a few years… It’s back at our former home.

We’re proud to have entertained some influential folks in our home. The Roller family came Go-cart0042one weekend on a speaking engagement and stayed with us. The kids noticed the go-cart right away!

This is Thad Roller! The set of legs in the background are his father’s! Today his father is Bishop David Roller! Back then he was a missionary.

Vangie Roller! She loved riding even more than Thad!

If I recall…David and Yvonne Roller each had a turn to ride too! I just didn’t get pictures of them! It was a very fun day!  Who knew David would one day be Bishop!!!

Here’s another picture of Kaleb after a little repair work. He barely fits with his long legs!

Some of the other kids wanted to ride too!

This is part of the gang at our house this summer watching the kids ride the old go-cart.

Rob, Armon, Kaleb, Elmise, Bella, Tim, Matthew, Miller, Haleigh, Annie, Shauna and Maddie. Hmmm, who’s on the go-cart? Maybe Mason!
