Eagle Sighting

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThis morning I became sooo excited! I know it doesn’t take much to excite me… But let me explain. We had just driven out of our driveway onto the road in front of our property when I saw it! A Bald Eagle! We live in the country. There’s a field, right across the road from us, with a woods beside it. In a tree at the edge of the woods sat a Bald Eagle! He was probably waiting to see an unsuspecting creature venture across the field. BINGO!

We were on our way to church. I hollered, poor Jerry…  He slowed down and backed up so we could get a  better view. I only had my camera phone with me. I did take a picture with it but then Jerry drove back to the house so I could get my real camera. My camera isn’t the best but I did get this picture. My friend, Harold, recently told me to stay in the car when we see a bird and want a picture. He said they’ll stay where they are with a car. But if I walk out to take a picture as soon as the bird sees me it’ll fly away! So I stayed in the car and just rolled my window down.

When we came home from church he was gone. I’m thankful for the picture I got and will be watching for the eagle in the days to come. By the way, we live in mid Michigan so  seeing an eagle so close to home is a thrill!

Bald Eagles are created by God.
