Harley To The Rescue

0420131203aHarley suddenly jumped up onto the bed and began nudging, with his head and paws, into Bob!  Bob was sound asleep. He didn’t even know his wife, Emmie, had gotten up in the night.

She was up alright…no, she was down! She had fallen between the kitchen and dining room and couldn’t get up. She’d been calling out to him, “Bob, Bob…” But Bob, being deaf and sound asleep, couldn’t hear her. Her calling out didn’t awaken him.

Now with Harley on top of him he was disgusted, thinking the dog just needed to go outside. But then he suddenly heard a faint “Bob…Bob…” He jumped out of bed as quickly as he could and hurried to her side. Helping her up they somehow made it outside to the car.

So Bob and Emmie spent the rest of the night in the emergency ward of the hospital. After checking her over very well and finding her okay, the doctor released her to go home.

Harley proved to be ‘man’s best friend’ and Bob is ever grateful!
