On Saturday, March 16, we celebrated my mother’s 99th birthday! It was absolutely wonderful! We had family from South Carolina, Tennessee, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Colorado, California and Alaska! I want to show a few pictures.
My older brother, Richard, couldn’t make it because he is in the hospital up in Greeley. We missed him so much and went up to see him before we left Colorado.
My younger brother, Bill, with Vel his wife, Mother and me. This was really a big day for all of us!
I’m so happy and proud my two daughters accompanied me to Colorado! This was an unforgettable time! Pam, Christy, Mother and me! Pam is from Illinois, Christy is from S. Carolina and I’m from Michigan.
My nephew, Chris, and his whole family! Eight of them! They are the modern day Brady Bunch! I’ll see if I can name them correctly…! Andrew, Ashlee, Kaylee, Micah, Chris, Jennifer, Mother, Joshua and Jacob! This is our Alaska family!
My nephew from Tennessee, Rick! Mother didn’t know he was coming! She was so surprised and happy to see him! We were just sorry Terry couldn’t be with him.
My second cousin, Kay, from Iowa and my third cousin, Cathy, from California.
I don’t believe in having favorites but I do make one exception to the rule! This is my most favorite cousin in the whole world! Actually he’s my second cousin. We’ve been best friends since 5th grade. Leroy and me! We each named one of our babies after each other without us even knowing it! He and his wife, Carolyn, came from Iowa.
We also had friends come to the dinner party. Janice and Wayne from Colorado. Janice and I were best friends in Des Moines from eighth grade through tenth grade.
Another set of friends I just met at the party are Bud and Donna. They go the the nursing home to visit my mother! I appreciate them so much and am so glad they could join us for this celebration!
Rick and Heidi are brother and sister and so glad to be together for a few days. Jenna, Heidi’s daughter, is also in the picture! She’s a sweetie!
Justin, my great-nephew, is here with my mother. Mother’s great-grandson. He was going to help her blow out the 99 candles…she didn’t need any help!
I wish I had more pictures of everyone but I don’t yet. I’ll be getting more later. But this gives a good idea of what a great time we had with family and friends all in honor of my beautiful mother!
Oh Anita, what a grand celebration you had for your mother. How wonderful for you all to be together. Sure enjoyed the pictures! Blessings to you all, we are praying for Richard.

I have been surfing on-line more than 3 hours today,
yet I by no means discovered any interesting article like yours.
It’s beautiful price sufficient for me. In my opinion, if all website owners and bloggers made good content material as you did, the internet will probably be much more useful than ever before.

Its like you read my mind! You appear to know so much about this, like you
wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with a
few pics to drive the message home a little bit, but instead of that, this is excellent blog.
A fantastic read. I will definitely be back.
