Three Houses Built Turned Into Homes

4335 Monroe Rd0001My husband wasn’t a builder by trade but he loved to build! Before we were married he began building our first house. It was a small three bedroom, one bathroom house. He began building in April, we were married in June and moved in, in October! It wasn’t finished but we couldn’t wait any longer! We were so excited. At the same time that he was building our house…I began building our baby!                                                                 By the time we were married six years we had three little children and our house was too small! So we sold this one and built a bigger house. One with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen, dining room, recreation room and a double car garage.

4335 Monroe Rd0002It’s hard to see here but it sat on a hill.      We had two more babies while we lived here. This was home for 30 years! We remodeled it as the years went by, turning the rec room into a family room with a bedroom at one end. We also added a large screened in porch across the back. This was home while our children were growing up. As they left one by one we began to dream of another home. Log Home

A retirement home. A log home. We bought five acres of woods and began to dream. Then one day it became real! These two pictures show front and back views. We love it and are very comfortable. We have a living room, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms, loft,  two bathrooms, reading room, sun room, utility room and single car garage.  We’ve lived here 16 years! My how time flies when we’re having fun!
