Well, here I am sitting…lying on the sofa feeling sickly. Every few minutes I stop to cough or blow my nose. I had a tooth break off this afternoon. Can anything else happen? Oh yes, as I lay here complaining to the Lord about how badly I’m feeling I’m reminded of the folks who are so much worse off than I am. I’ve never had cancer, never had a heart attack, I don’t even have high blood pressure! I’ve never had a miscarriage, never lost a baby or child or grandchild.
Here’s what I do have: a husband who loves me! Five grown children with families, 16 grandchildren! Two brothers and my mother, all living in Colorado. We’ll be getting together next month for a 99 year happy birthday dinner for Mother. It’s good I’m sick now so I’ll be over it next month when I’m traveling.
Lying here I’ve decided to get serious again…about writing a book of my parents life and my own. It’ll be good, I promise! I’ve got it started… I just need to get back at it. Sometimes we have to be stopped dead still to get a fresh approach or fresh inspiration into what we have started and then laid aside. It’ll take a while. I know that. But I’m ready to get back at it. If you have any encouraging words…bring them on!!!
Looking forward to reading your book! It will be fascinating!!
