We’ve had the best dogs over the years. Our first dog was Rusty. He had so much personality! When I fed him he would look up at me, like he was thanking me, before he started eating! He was very protective of our family! He was very loving. He first belonged to my parents in Colorado. When they could no longer have a dog they asked if we could take him and they brought him to us! They wanted to make sure he had a good, loving home. In this picture we were camping at Higgons Lake. Timmy is in the picture with Rusty.
Our next dog was Corky. He belonged to Ted. He was a smart dog and learned tricks well. In this picture he was sitting up for a treat! He was trained to go into the kitchen and family room only.
Jocko came next. He was a Poodle. Ted is sitting here on the tailgate of our truck with Jocko. We always took our dogs camping with us! They loved camping! Jocko was my dog. He was with me all day, no matter where I was, he was with me. I loved him but he was a problem. He had an ear infection that only the vet could treat and it came back often. He didn’t like strangers or anyone messing with him!
Trixie was Tim’s dog. She was beautiful and was a really good dog. She saved my life one day! She was a friendly dog to everyone who came over to visit… But one day a man, whom we knew well, came over when I was home along. He had some no-good intentions! Trixie, somehow, knew something wasn’t right. She began barking and wouldn’t stop! I tried to quiet her and the man tried to stop her. But she wouldn’t stop barking! Finally the man gave up and left!!! Trixie stopped barking! Somehow she knew something wasn’t right!
