We celebrated 100 years of being in existence in our city! There have been some interesting changes.
Today was one of the biggest visible changes! We were told this change might last through January! All the chairs in the sanctuary were put in circular rows. The pastor was in the center. He’s not one to stand or sit in one place…he moves around so he was facing everyone at one time or another. The manger was in the center of the circle. You can see it in the picture. The light shone right on it highlighting it! Jesus is our reason for worshiping. Since this was the last Sunday of December and of 2012 we had Communion. We don’t have it every Sunday like a lot of churches. This makes it very meaningful. We dipped the bread into an urn of wine (grape juice). In the picture they are in front of the manger. If you click on the picture you’ll be able to see it better. The bread and urn are each covered with a white napkin. After communion folks randomly shared about what they were thankful for in 2012.
The year 2012 was an interesting, profitable, amazing year.
