What’s wrong with me? Advent began last Sunday. I was ready for it. I even had my blog post ready… When I set up my Hallmark Santa and reindeer I put Santa pulling the reindeer!…I have printed out about 20 Christmas cards and now my printer has gone ballistic! Can anything else go wrong? Add this on to our furnace going bad and I wonder…am I losing my mind???
So…I’ve been debating for a few days. Do I put the Advent post on late or do I wait til Sunday and put two pictures on?
I have replaced Santa with his reindeer. Poor Santa had to pull those reindeer for about two weeks!
Jerry told me my printer doesn’t owe me a thing…I’ve had it for a lot of years. I’ve printed hundreds of pages with it. I used to print the newsletter on it every two weeks. That was enough to wear it out! I no longer print the newsletter but I still use it often. Printing our Christmas card was the last straw! Jerry said a new printer could be my Christmas present! Hmmmmmmm…could the new furnace be his Christmas present?
You have arrived to those wonder years, I keep thinking I can blame old age, but I think it is more like stress and Senior moments, with less emphasis on Sr. moments. We were raised in the 50’s with not a lot of tech, and life was busy, but not too chaotic. Once in awhile we would stress out. But now, it is daily instead of 2 or 3 times a yr. Everything is moving so fast. The youth of today take it in stride, and it is a way of life. For us it is no relaxation, confusion, and understanding yet another thing and how it works. I guess when we printed things in the old days, we did it by hand, snail mail, hand cranked newsletters on a spirit machine, or mimeograph and hand mashed, stured and kneaded in the kitchen. Good for the body and soul. Now a days, everything seems to be instant, and on the run. Being that our bodies are getting older and we have to take more supplements, we are just being normal when a crisis hits and we think we are losing our minds or getting Ahlzimers. So don’t fret, my dear, It will all be OK, after while. Christmas presents exchanged, (maybe a few surprises along with the house gifts) You never know what extra gifts are coming your way from God. Hugs for the frustrations in life, Sue
