I’m a little earlier with my decorating than I usually am.Grandchildren were here over Thanksgiving weekend and they wanted to help me soooo it’s looks really Christmas y around here! It’s about a week or two earlier then usual. But…I love it! Thanks, kids, for helping me out. It’s a huge job 
putting all my nic-naks away and setting up all my nativity sets. Actually, Jerry and I put the tree up today but the kids helped out with all my nativity sets. They also dusted all the shelves for me! Thanks girls! I have quite a few…! The top one here is a favorite one from Thailand. Our son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Shauna, bought it for me when they were there. I was in Thailand but didn’t see any so they bought it for me. I love it. Notice that Jesus isn’t in a manger…Mary is holding Him! It’s my only set where Mary is holding the baby! This set is in front of a mirror so it looks like there are twice as many pieces as there are. The next set is just one that I bought and I love. The string of candle lights going around it was given to me by an elderly friend who had used them when her family was young. She died many years ago. The lights still work, I’ve never replaced any of them! The second one is a beautiful wall hanging given to me by my daughter, Pam. The next is a wall hanging made by Hmong people. It’s all hand embroidered. Our Christmas tree is next. It’s a fiber optic tree. It’s much more beautiful then the picture shows! We always bought real trees but now in our old age we’ve gone to an artificial tree and we do like it. Next is my nativity set from the near east. I love it. Below that one is my set we bought in Bethlehem! Next are American Indians, then my blue set from my mom. The set at the bottom is all white but it doesn’t look like it. It’s just hard to see. Then is my artistic set I bought on sale for 70% off! It’s standing in front of a mirror so it may be hard to make it out. So there you have it…no, not all of it. But these are most of my nativity sets and Christmas decorating. Jerry hangs big red bows outside and we put lights along the front porch. Here it is…still November and we’ve got this much done! We hope you’ll stop by to visit and enjoy some Christmas cookies. Oh wait…I haven’t done my cookie baking yet!!!

Aren’t children wonderful helpers? How blessed you and I are to have the grandchildren we do. I love all your nativity sets and thanks for sharing the story behind them. Our tree is up but not decorated. Still hoping to finish it tonight. Chuck is gone on the long trip. Christmas is in the air this year more than ever it seems. People seem more joyous, or is it me.
