Happy Birthday, Annie

Happy Birthday, Annie! Oh my goodness, how the years have flown by… You were our first granddaughter! We loved our grandsons but after four, we were ready for a granddaughter! You fit the mold perfectly! Now, here you are…all grown up!

In your nineteen years you’ve become a world traveler! This year you’re attending college in a foreign country! Okay, it’s in the USA! But since you’re a citizen of Canada and live in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada you are now in a foreign country! Texas? That’s about as different from Saskatchewan as you can get! But, reading your blogs, I can see you love it! That’s what counts. I hope your friends are celebrating with you. It’s not easy to be away from home on important days and this is certainly an important day. I wish for you a super, wonderful, fabulous, fun, spectacular, great day! I love you!

Heavenly Father, thank You for Annie! She’s been a wonderful granddaughter. Please watch over her while she’s so far away from home. Keep her safe, help her with her studies and with her new friends. Draw her close to You. I love Annie so much and You love her even more!

I can't believe I'm in old age! I'm more than halfway through my seventies! I'm a child of God, wife to one, mother to five, grandmother to 15 plus one granddaughter-in-law! I'm a sister, aunt, niece, cousin, friend and neighbor. I'm a housewife and former ESL tutor. I love reading and writing. I write and am the editor of a newsletter, bi-weekly, for seniors. I love genealogy, traveling, birds and animals, blogging and taking pictures.
