All In The Day Of Me

This is all in the day of me today. It’s not too earth shattering. I’m working on the newsletter that I’m editor of so that takes a lot of my time. I’ve taken some time off for my sister’s death. Grieving is tough. Now it’s hard to get motivated again but I must get the bi-weekly  newsletter back on track.

Three of our 15 grandchildren live ‘across the river and through the woods’ from us. This morning we took those three to school and then our car continued going west to Sanford to our favorite family restaurant, Lanny’s. We had a good breakfast as we do, once a week,  almost every week. Jerry ordered 1/2 order of The Villager: sausage gravy on a biscuit, bacon, one medium fried egg, and one slice of wheat toast. I ordered two eggs, medium; bacon, wheat toast and coffee.

A little later I drove to town on an errand. As I was driving past a small pond I noticed lots of Canadian Geese so I stopped to take pictures. They were created by God. If you click on the picture it’s much more impressive.  I also took a couple more pictures of old barns.

At a department store I bought Jerry and me each a new pillow. Hopefully this will help, especially Jerry, to get a better night’s sleep. He coughs a lot at night so finally last night it dawned on me that, just maybe, we need new pillows! We’ll see tonight.

This afternoon Jerry and I went to vote. We walked right in, registered and voted. We weren’t gone even a half hour! We had expected to stand in line so we were pleasantly surprised. And now it’s over with. All that’s left is the shouting!!!

So you can see this has been a very slow day in the life of me. It’s cloudy and dreary and chilly.  Life isn’t always this slow. But sometimes a relaxed day is so good. I must now begin supper and I’m not even sure yet what it’s going to be…
