# 5 Annesley Mae

Annie was our first granddaughter. We loved our grandsons more than I can tell, but we were thrilled to finally have a granddaughter. Annesley was named after Susanna Wesley’s maiden name, Annesley. Annie’s our only Canadian granddaughter. She lived in Malaysia for three years with her family and is quite the world traveler. Her next adventure will be this year attending school in the USA in Texas!

I have a very sweet story of Annie that I’ve told over and over and I must write it here. She was only about three years old. The family was here visiting us. Our son, Rob, and family live next door, with a path going through the woods between their house and ours. Annie had been playing with her cousins when she decided to come back to Grandma’s house. She came on the path through the woods all by herself! When she arrived her mother, Shauna, said, “Oh Annie, you came all by yourself!” Annie, with her hands on her hips and  looking very perturbed replied, “Yeah, and it do be a long way!”

We, along with daughter, Pam and Gene, went to Canada to attend Annie’s high school graduation. This picture is of her at the graduation banquet. She’s so beautiful!
