Travel Log # 13 USA Duluth, Minnesota

Duluth, Minnesota has a very unique bridge! I’d seen it in the distance before when we’ve driven through but didn’t really know what it was. Today we saw it up close and personal! We even walked across it and got to the other side just in time! Instead of opening in the middle like most bridges, where there are ships to go through, this bridge lifts!

Here the bridge is down. We arrived just in time to see it go up and a ship go through. We didn’t plan it, we were just lucky!

The bridge is going up…

The ship is coming…

The ship is going through!

Later we walked across the bridge. We were almost across when the horn started blasting! We made it across but it was kind of scary. A small boat came through so the bridge only raised half way. It was really an amazing sight!
