I went to school to watch my grandchildren in a musical play, The Pied Piper. It was very well done. I was amazed at how well these little kids followed the director’s directions. Oh, I know they’ve been practicing for a long time. My granddaughter, Elmise, is the third child, from the left, in the middle row. My grandson, Armon, is the fourth child, from the right, in the front row. They were both rats in the play! The rats wore big black ears so they could be told apart from the village children. When the pied piper played his flute the rats all followed him with their arms outstretched. It was cute. Down in front was a person actually playing a flute! If folks in the back couldn’t see her playing they would have thought the pied piper was actually playing his flute! It was quite clever!
