Travel Log # 13 USA Montana

There is something about a carousel! The excitement, the music, riding up and down on the horses going around and around. Age doesn’t even diminish the excitement of riding on a carousel!

We were traveling west, all the way to Washington, with three of our children and all five of our grandchildren. At that time we had five, today we have fifteen grandchildren! When we got to Missoula, Montana we hunted for and found …a restored antique carousel! There are 38 fully hand carved horses and two chariots. The carousel goes 11 miles an hour! At that time it cost 50 cents to ride! It’s now 75 cents. All twelve of us rode that day. It was so fun!

Picture 1 is Max, our youngest grandchild, at that time and myself! # 2 is Jerry! # 3 is another view of the carousel.

Pic # 4 Jerry and I love the carousel so much that several years later we were traveling by ourselves, when we were driving through Missoula our car took us back to the carousel! There we are riding together!
