Travel Log # 10 Canada Part 8 Ontario The Algoma Central

It was sometime in the early 90’s that we joined some friends and went up to Anjigami Camp near Wawa, Ontario. W drove a big 15 passenger van up to Sioux St Marie, Ontario and then boarded a train. The train ride itself was an experience. I loved it. In the second picture you can see the tracks where we had to move over for an oncoming train. But what I want you to see is the house right smack beside the tracks! How would you like to live there? I just hope there are no night time trains! The view was incredible as you can see by my pictures. The engineer came back to welcome us aboard!  We had to move over to another track for an on-coming train. There isn’t very much space between the two trains! When we arrived at our destination the train stopped and we were told this was where we were to get off. It was in the middle of no-where! There was even a sign which read: Beware of Bears! Luckily our hosts from the camp arrived a few minutes later in another large van.

Nice read, I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing some research on that. And he actually bought me lunch because I found it for him smile So let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch! “The capacity to care is what gives life its most deepest significance.” by Pablo Casals.
