Travel Log # 10 Canada, Part 2 British Columbia, Vancouver Island – Victoria

One of our trips to British Columbia we took a ferry boat to Vancouver Island to the city of Victoria. We had a wonderful, fun day.

Butchart Gardens.

We did a lot of sight seeing that day. We went to government buildings, museum, watched some dressed up adults playing the yard bowling game. It was quite interesting. They were so serious about it! I’m completely ignorant as to the rules of the game. I should have taken a picture of them. As I remember, the men were in white slacks and the women wore white skirts!

It’s a very English city, as you can see by the double-decker bus.

It was an exhausting day but one we’re so glad we had!

Picture 4 is the ferry we took across.

Picture 5 I couldn’t resist taking. That’s Jerry, my husband, standing beneath the Polish sign! He’s not Polish, he’s German and Scottish, but he made me laugh so I took his picture.
