One day we went to Magdalena to shop and see the sights. One of the most interesting and sad sights we saw was this Catholic Church. I took several pictures because I couldn’t believe what they were teaching. Jesus made a nice statue but the people were taught to worship Father Kino, who died hundreds of years ago. He was a great priest and missionary but he was a person, like you and me. They have a monument to go into where they have his skeleton under glass! My last picture here shows Father Kino’s skeleton. I took the picture through the glass not knowing how it would turn out. Click on the pictures to see them closer and more clearly. It was so sad, to me, to see people crossing themselves as they looked at his bones.
