Travel Log # 8 Egypt Part 4 Memphis

We went to the ancient capital of Egypt, Memphis. Well, what is left of it. It was a great metropolis, extremely important as a commercial and industrial center. Chariots were built here. Every race, nationality, and religion probably lived and worked here. The destruction of Memphis was prophesied by Jeremiah.

Pack your belongings for exile, you who live in Egypt, for Memphis will be laid waste and lie in ruins without inhabitant. Jeremiah 46:19
