A Delightful Evening

Jerry and I were invited to a Chinese restaurant for supper this evening. We had a really nice time and such good food! There were five of us. Two Chinese and three Americans.

When we go to a Chinese restaurant we are very unadventurous! We only order what we know we’ll like and what will agree with our systems.

This evening our young Chinese friend, Andrew, ordered for us. Beef and broccoli, sweet & sour pork (Chinese style), Oh dear, I can’t remember the other dishes. They were unfamiliar to us but boy, were they good! One had lots of shrimp, Yum! One was tofu. It was quite spicy  and very good! One dish had eggplant in it…it was good!

We love getting together with our Chinese students. They are so eager to learn and to please us. So we’ll have another time of getting together soon.

Good for you to try some new things! Hopefully Dad found something he like, beef and broccoli should be right up his alley.

    • Thanks for your comment, Pam. The beef and broccoli was ordered, mainly for Dad, so he’d have something to fall back on in case he didn’t like the other dishes! It was a really fun evening. He ate a little of the sweet and sour pork, (Chinese style) too. I think I liked it the best of all! It was spicy, not like American sweet and sour pork. This restaurant seems to be mainly for the Chinese folks in town. It wasn’t like the China Palace or other Chinese restaurants we usually go to.
