Hot Cocoa, Anyone?

Mary handing out hot cocoa.

I took the grandchildren to the Santa Parade this morning. We watched it with our friends Josh, Heather and Kayden. We thought we were dressing warmly enough but we froze! We were just standing out on the sidewalk for over an hour before it even started down coming Main Street. đŸ˜¦

A group of folks from our church make and give out hot chocolate to anyone who would like a cup! It’s a very nice ministry. They’ve been doing it for several years now. They do look like a bunch of ragamuffins! But their hearts are pure!

  1. I just got home from working the bake sale for my grandson’s fund raising trip to Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic in April. So we were both busy with Grand kids today!!! It is a balmy -27 with the wind chill here. Now I am going out to dinner at my friend’s daughters house. My friend Jan and her husband Jim have gone south. They will come home for Christmas. After dinner we are going to decorate Jan & Jim’s tree as a surprise for them when they return!!!!

Glad you could go and make memories today. Hope you didn’t get too cold and got to sip some hot chocolate.

    • Thanks Sue! I couldn’t believe how cold it was! I guess just standing out on the street for an hour and half waiting was too long. We had a good time though. We finally got the kids playing some games, red light – green light, Mother, may I, etc. Then the parade came down the street!
