Today?

Today was an interesting day. We, kind of, started off on the wrong foot. Not good. That meant one grandchild got a warning. First one all week for any of them. About two thirty the phone rang…could I pick them up from school instead of them riding the bus? Oh boy, I had just gotten home from town. I was in the storeroom searching for my advent wreath base. I said, “No, not if you can get on the bus in time.” I wondered what frame of mind they would be in. A few minutes after three they came in all smiles, laughing and very cheerful! “Oh, thank You, Lord!” This is going to be a good afternoon and evening.

Jerry made the boiled dinner that we love. Ham, cabbage, potatoes, onions, celery, etc. It smells very good in here. Elmise and Armon love it too! Especially Elmise! Haleigh will eat a hot dog! 😦

I finished the newsletter today. It’s being proof read now. It’ll be printed tomorrow and also sent out over the internet. It comes out every other week. Now that presents a problem to me. You see Advent is coming. I like to highlight Advent Season. So I had to put the first picture of my advent wreathe on this week. It actually starts Nov. 27.

It seems like advent is starting early this year. I will be on a cruise ship. I will have to see if they are having a church service on board.

    • Thanks Pam, for commenting. Actually Advent usually starts the last Sunday of November. But it does seem to be coming quickly this year. The time is flying by. I hope you have a super great time on your cruise! I remember one year I went to Chicago to stay with your boys while you went on a cruise! Now they are all grown up and you’re still going on a cruise! That’s wonderful!
