Our Beautiful Chinese Family

We went to a picnic in the park this evening with International Friends. Two of our sponsored students were there and we had such a good time after the long summer of not seeing them. They had gone back to China for the summer.

We missed Vincy, a third student of ours, but she had a lot of reading to do this evening and every evening. She’s working on her master’s degree.

We went to the picnic claiming three students as our family, we came home from the picnic with six students as our family!

These three: Stella, from Malaysia, Kevin and Blue, from China, said they didn’t have an American family. They all asked if they could join ours. Jerry and I melted and said “Sure, you can be our kids too!” I think whenever they come over it’s going to be a party!!!

Koko, Jerry, Anita, Andrew.

Koko, Stella, Me, Jerry, Kevin, Andrew, Blue. The whole gang, except Vincy.

How wonderful to have more of God’s children in your family. You all look so happy. Can’t wait to hear about the adventures and meals together. We adopted a child and that is as close as we have gotten to having mission children. I think the church has this outreach too. We can sign up to be away parents for these foreign students. You inspired us, so maybe we will give it a try.
