Grandma’s School Day # 35

This morning before Armon arrived I cleaned the sun room and rearranged the furniture. I was hoping it would give us a sort of fresh start. His desk is now at the far end of the room. He wondered why I changed things. I read another story in the Peter Rabbit book. I had written and printed out a story for Armon to read about Dick and Jane and soccer. I wanted to see if he could recognize words apart from the reading books. There were also several new words for him. He did pretty good. I helped him some but all in all he was able to read most of it. He then read the next story in the reader. We also spent some time working in his alphabet book. He wants to please me, so he tries really hard. I just hope we’re making enough progress for his teacher to see a difference.
