Grandma’s School Day #14

We just finished day # 14. It was a good day! He read better today than he ever has! He read and worked in Aunt Lorraine’s book and colored the pictures. He knows the vowels and consonants. He’s working and learning about money.

He watches the clock and knows when it’s time to go home! I asked if he’d like to learn to tell time. His reply was, “No, Grandma. You don’t want to learn to play Uno and so, I don’t want to learn how to tell time!” He had me there. All my grandchildren have begged to teach me how to play Uno, but I don’t want to learn. I don’t want to play Uno! Hmmmmm…

Thanks Kathy for your comment. I love getting comments and don’t get very many. Jerry and Rob used to play Uno every day when Jerry came home from work. I mean every day! It was just their time together. It was kind of a sweet time. I decided to let it be their time and their game. So I didn’t learn to play and I just still don’t want to learn to play. I do play other games with the kids. Sorry, Bingo, ladder ball, Mother, may I, etc.
Yes, Jerry and I play Skip Bo. I haven’t taught the grandkids yet.

Oh, now I understand, I thought you you just didn’t know about Uno….I shouldn’t have assumed that. And you are right there are lots of great games to play…one that we play alot of at the lake is Yatzee and also Crib…Piper and Luke always ask for just one more game before bed!!

I have trouble getting into this blog and also into your life experiences these days…I suspect it might have to do with too much moisture everywhere up here…sometimes our blackberries don’t work well either!!

Great pics of the wedding…I love them.
